FHP is pleased to announce that we have secured the MEP Design Services contract on the WX3 project, for the redevelopment of Wakefield’s former Market Hall Building.

The WX3 project is a multi-million pound, three-year programme that will significantly enrich the creative, cultural and digital industries sectors across the Wakefield district. It has been estimated that the development will create 84 full-time equivalent jobs - as well as additional roles during construction.

The Arcadis development – also known as the ‘WX3 Innovation Egg’ - includes the refurbishment of the existing Market Hall for use as a multi-purpose event space, including food, beverage and retail in the Main Hall; the renovation of an existing service block to provide an educational workshop space, plant and storage; plus a further unit providing co-working office space.
