The hotels, which have a gross development value of around £100m, includes two nine-storey blocks, one housing a 375-bedroom hotel and the other housing a 254-bed hotel on the three-acre site, just off the Airport Spur road.

The former, made up of two linked blocks, will be operated by Hilton Garden Inn and will have a 2,300 sq ft sky bar and meeting room at rooftop level, while the latter will be branded as a Hampton By Hilton.

The Role of FHP

FHP were employed by SES to develop the Stage 3 MEP design and building physics into a workable scheme. The use of prefabricated elements was considered and a full design was carried out in Revit.
